Haven't seen anything yet, but I'm expecting leftovers or ripoffs from the W427 intakes? Only with a built-in MAF...

I understand 100k for the exclusivity (and powertrain!!) of the GTS. The LSA is a godsend for Australian HSV fans as an answer to ford's Coyote V8.

But i'm a little confused as to why anyone would pay 22k more than an SS...

ESPECIALLY when chances are, it may end up with a 6.2l V8 in future anyways... In which case, the SS would be the bettter-looking option, and have just as much potential for power.

and why have 317, 325, and 340 kw options? Anybody who's after power should just buy the 317 for 8-9k less, and then throw his own bolt-ons on. He'd end up with a fair whack more than 340 too...

    Very confused...
Why buy a new car then based on that logic. Could spend 7k on a VT LS1 and get more than 340 for a few grand as easy as having a shit.

There is more to a HSV than the engine alone.. Hell if thats all it was FPV would be outselling them 10:1

The OP is comparing new cars with other new cars.

Wagon looks by far the best......The rest look VERY ordinary. Just the styling of the GTS looks like it should be powered by a four cylinder!

Hmmmm I have been following the HSV supercharged? thread with interest and have been really keen to see these, but those pics have left me underwelmed. As XLR8 mentioned the wheels are horrid. The rear badges look huge. The rear GTS wing looks real ricey to me, kind of reminds me of the std WRX wing. The front looks boring. The interior of the car looks awsome however but it is a bit condraditing to have heads up display but then have the Oil and boost gauges located at the bottom dash, where I think it is going to be hard to see - looks to me that the location was an afterthought. The technology in these cars is great and to be commended, I just hope as others have said these things look better in the flesh. I really dont want to sound like nor be a HSV basher, the above is my honest unbiased opinions.

Like you really need to see voltage and oil pressure up high. They say the HUD was derived from fighter aircraft (yeah I chuffed). In our fighter aircraft oil pressure is down on the left too out of direct view.

Yeah every now and then. Keeping it away from direct view is a good idea

The powertrain is proven though the styling isnt to my liking, dont need the size or space.

Heres hoping HSV revives Torana name plate, a 2 door hatch, 2 seats, about size of BRZ or little bigger, with this powertain would perfect buy for me

The GTS for me is the pick of the bunch in terms of looks and of course specs. I was really underwhelmed when I first saw the leaked pic, but every time I look at it now, it grows more and more on me and the more I look at it, the more I want one.

I think these images I captured from the vid represent the best feel we can get at the moment of it's presence in real world terms and altho I can pick out minor bits and pieces that I would like done differently on the exterior, as a whole I think I'd be satisfied if one was parked in my driveway.

My preference would be black minus the rear wing
