    Ran my first 10!!

Last night in Darwin I ran my first 10, weather was crap as we had a small shower just as qualifying was about to start and throughout the night it was 34/35 degrees and 60% humidity. First run was my best a 10.973@125.49mph with a 60ft of 1.670. This is in my vt that has been cleaned out, has a race weight of about 1300kg, running a craigs built 4l60e and a sqp stroked ls2, with a super victor manifold. There is still plenty more of fine tuning and improvement to come and hopefully some cooler weather. I have only done 6 passes on this engine in the car.

    Cheers
    Brad

I run a super victor intake manifold, edelbrock 1000cfm throttle body, 3.91 diff with spool, dart 220cc cathedral port heads, compression is 11.2:1, the cam is 240's on 108 with 630 lift. Once I sort out everything else with it I will look at changing to e85 and I will probably throw some nos on in the next couple of months.
I have put pedder's 90/10's with fe2 springs in the front and the previous owner put koni shocks in the back which I haven't touched.

Well done Brad. The car looked like it was hooking up really well. It looked as though you still couldn't stall it up on the brake much.

Yeah bud, was only stalling it up to around 1700rpm, tried a bit more in the last pass, but the car started to creep so dropped it back. I also don't have a tacho I can see while watching the tree, so will put one in by the next meet. Hopefully have the nos and new slicks sorted by the nt titles in mid july to

Sweet build, what sort of 60ft? I hope to get my 60ft to low 1.6 or high 1.5 once I get new slicks and put the tacho in to watch stall rpm

    Thanks
Have you got a build thread?
    What stall are you running?
Re: 60ft Times , Its a small country town track and timeslips are not supplied. So speed /60ft etc. are a unknown.
Im hoping to get to Willowbank soon for a test & tune night and see some better times.

Nah haven't done up a build thread, had this combo in my vy sedan for the opening meet and ran an 11.67@118, had some minor things to modify after that but wanted the driveline to put in this car. Be good to see what you run at willowbank.

Try just sitting at idle and flashing the convertor.
You have more power and weigh less than our LS3 Monaro, yet it 60's in the the low to mid 1.5's on both Mickey Thompson 265/40/18 and M&H 275/45/18 radials.
