Does anyone have a breakdown of the actual on-road costs?
Quoted $102,000 for a manual GTS with sunroof.

In Queensland vehicle registration duty is $4 per $100 for a V8....so $92,990x0.04=$3,719.60.

    So my calcs are -

    Car $92,990
Sunroof incl. LCT $3,500 (my guess)
    Dealer Delivery $1,500 (my guess)
    Duty $3,720
Rego / CTP $700 (my guess)

Total= $102,410..so $102k is on the money if you pay full RRP.

$92990. Well, I predicted around $95K (see my post #37)
I don't think you'd call any car at this price "Cheap", but I reckon that at $92990, the new GTS is extremely well priced.
    Cheers, Pickles.

Apart from adapting the LT1 next year (or thereabouts) there isn't really much for HSV's engineering team to do now. Even if the Camaro was to be imported it would presumably be the factory Z28 and ZL1 as the "HSV" models if Holden chose to go down that path, wouldn't be anything for HSV to do, just a badge job. Much like the HSV Astra VXR, it was just a rebadged OPC Astra. It's all over for HSV in 2017.

    Cheers, Matthew

    Works for me.

Once upon a time an Aussie car held the world record for the fastest caravan tow (link). The time has come to reclaim the title and the new GTS is just the car to do it.

ill wait for performance figures before I call $92k 'well priced'. And im talking REAL world performance figures...not just magazine times. With all the VF hype youd expect them to deliver very swift times....although the VF SS so far seems to be half a sec slower then the ancient xr6t....so im not betting the house on it.

If I look at the GTS and consider more than just 0-100km/h times, does that mean I'm getting old?

No it just means you're not a tosser.

People who only consider 0-100 times should buy a 1970's Corolla and put a worked 302 with a C4 and they'll be doing 10's.

HSV's are about power. If you want 0-100's, buy an AWD.
