Must admit I take perverse pleasure from parking a VE into small reverse park spaces so I wouldn't be using the auto park feature

Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics - Part 4

Its been awhile since I owned a Holden, found memories of my VL Calais Turbo. Always wanted to own a V8, so will be checking out the SSV and Calais models.

I dropped into a local dealer on the way home and saw a SS V Sportwagon, really like the interior but not really sold on the rear, need to see one with the spoiler.

Hopefully get a chance to test drive both over the coming weeks. Anyone who has already put an order in managed to get a better deal that RRP?

V8 engine cover looks like the stock one with some red bits - prefer the VZ split covers (assuming you can still get them from Holden).

    Totally agree.

The early VE’s had silver paint and that was deleted to just plain black plastic in the later models to save money.

Now they want $350 to upgrade to a cover that appears to only have some red highlights and a painted rib section.

Sounds like, bite the hand that feeds you.

If you don’t like the stock cover, spray your own would be the logical answer.

    Couple of pics from today.

So rainy here in Brisbane so I didn't get the chance to take many pics and had limited time at the dealership on another matter
What was immediately obvious was the upgrade of the interiors, especially on the base SS.
The quaility of the fittings seems very good also, although the leather finish seems a little irregular. Possibly will all stretch out over time.
The white interior will get very dirty if people put their hands on the nice suede-style finish but it looks good.
Prussian steel colour also pleasing in life in the rain.

The front of the cars looks a little conservative for my tastes, especially on the sporty models. There was no Calais there so will have to check out one of those at a later date.

I'm trying to upload more pics but the forum isn't letting me.

One of the reasons ive never been a huge fan of leather. If you zoom into the back seat it looks ordinary. Do those creases come out over time?

Good question, I don't know. I can't recall having creases like that in my HSVs in the past.

    Other matter hey doc!

Creases in leather usually settle pretty well. Had them in the gt and settled very well over a couple of weeks.

It’s common with some of the Euros as well.

It can look nice and plush if it’s evenly wrinkled everywhere.
