I remember hearing in the 90s that about 10 in every 100 Commodores were V8s and 1 in 100 was a manual. I recall a figure of around 20-30% of privately sold LS-powered Commodores were V8s.

Could be wrong but those numbers ring a bell.

I know of one VT Executive, LS1, Auto, Black with low k,s and owned by a lady who would be 80+ lol

:facepalm: on that one. Meant that percentage of Commodores were V8s. Once the LS motor came along, the percentage of V8 sales went up.

I had a March 2000 VTII V8 Exec that was apparently one of the last before VX. Originally sold in July 2000 to the local GMH dealer's son. V8, manual, no other options.

I bought one of the last two available in Queensland, had a choice of colours, white or silver.... went for silver due to the plethora of white ex police on the market..

Ha, yeah I was surprised to see a VE Berlina V8 sedan in a carpark yesterday - coming after seeing a VE Calais V8 Sportwagon late last week (not Calais V) I think I'm doing well lately at spotting rare ones!
