build no 430 - I am surprised they are making that many of them in the first run.

Congrats on the sale though - decent effort.

HSV total build for this year is 750 I was told and you could ask for any number between 11 and 750 if you threw a few $ to HSV. Subject to when and who I guess. I didn't bother.

Correct...this guy requested #430 so when he saw my plates pop up he was onto it

The gains the LSA makes with a tune have never been big from what I've read in the USA. Guys seem to always overdrive the blower to get a decent bump over there

Yes macca, the Americans are getting big power out of them (like 700hp) with overdrive pully, some head work, exhaust and cam mods.

    Seems to have potential.
I'm doubtful about going crazy with mods but I think the potential will be there.

HSV have said they "hope" to build 700 in the 1st year,.....I hope they do....Forward orders at the moment are looking good.....but who knows what the numbers will really be....For sure, I don't. Another plus, is that HSV also have orders in N.Z. & the U.K.
I say the performance of the GTS will be enormous....& I am sure that HSV will not be in the slightest bit concerned about "what it will do with a tune"....I would suggest that anyone looking for ultimate horsepower simply whack a puffer on a cheaper car.....that way ya'll get the "Numbers" ya want....BUT, the GTS is much more than "numbers"....anyone that buys one...will very quickly find that out. (last comment not directed at you mjr!)
    Cheers, Pickles.

Naahh, been retired for 13 years....don't work for anyone.
If anyone cares to read my previous post with respect to HSV's "Sticker Specials".....last 25th Anniv. GTS would be a prime example, ya'd see that I've been extremely critical of this sort of stuff.
But, this S/C GTS is different, it IS REALLY special,.....well, I think it is, I've learned about it's R & D (but of course some on here say it's bull sh.t!), I've seen the car, and I can remember "some" of its features, and there are many( it ain't just an engine).....so yeah, I'm impressed......REALLY impressed.
Of course, the "proof will be in the pudding"......when a normal guy like Vulture takes delivery, then ya'll get a "real world" opinion, which I'm confident will be....."I'm Happy"!
    We'll see. Pickles.

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

OK I should have said up to 750. Even if they say make only 600 you could still order 745, or 750 etc. I suspect the buyer of the plates wanted 430 to correspond to the kW too. My dealer reckons HSV will probably not make GTSs for floor stock. So that gives support to the order only info I was given by another dealer last year. When I put my deposit down you could buy a number of personalised plates here in Q. HSV430, GTS430, HSVLSA, GTSLSA etc. None now. So how many plates did you buy jk? About the only personalised plates I would buy would be C12H24 for the 4wd but I am not into that, especially for $2.5k.
