from memory, about $180k over here. Was reading a recent review between the ZL1 Camaro and the R35 and there was not much in it. They actually said that the ZL1 was a more fun and rewarding car to drive. Given its shared underpinnings with the Commodore, I'm expecting a similar result from the GTS.

I would be surprised if the GTS got close to the GT-R. That said, it will definitely be interesting.

considering for under 2k you can take a factory gtr to run 10's. no chance for the gts

Yep, the GTR is in a whole other league but the GTS is surely the performance Vs price bargain of the year.
Would I get $70,000 more fun from a GTR? I doubt it.
$70,000 buys a lot of whores depending where you shop.

C'mon guys all this talk of whores is ... is ... pretty good really! Haven't heard the four floors of whores for a while.

GTR is a different animal. Another option I looked at last year. I could afford to buy it, probably couldn't afford the maintenance and definitely couldn't afford the fines!!!

GTS will do nicely thank you.

    No point..no point at all.
EVERYONE knows what a great car the GT-R is, but it's a totally different class of car to the GTS.
    Cheers, Pickles.

I've been in a CTS-V with mods that runs 10.34 on the tyres it is driven daily on, and I mean driven daily as a normal car would be. There may be some surprises in store.

    I like your optimism.

What are your predictions for stock performance ?

    I'm thinking 4.6s 0-100 & 12.4 @120 for 400m

No predictions, but this car was damn fast. It just drove round like a normal car, but then when pressed it was so impressive. 0-120mph in about 300 metres, sort of felt effortless but you knew it was flying. I've been in a modded R35 (can't beat the grip), this IMO was better

Owner has TT 430, TT Gallardo etc and he loves this Caddy, good enough for me

I have to agree. The GTS would get slaughtered in every test - cornering G's, 1/4mile, 0-100km, circuit etc etc.

A 2012 model can be had for 150K. By the end of the year when the face lift comes out, It'll drop a lot more.

This is one of my favourite reviews

    I think 400m in 12.1-12.2 @ 117 ... 0-100 in 4.2

Though I am told that the FPV GT R-Spec ran 117+mph in Wheels also ...

Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2

My car has slightly better power to weight than the new gts and based on mine i think the gts will do 0 to 100 in about 4.4 ,4.5 and the quarter in about 12.2 to 12.4 @117.Only time will tell.
