You got lucky with your VE then. Give them some time, the whole electrical system is new - probably the biggest electrical change in 15 years.

Same here 06 sep build SS no dramas at all, in fact out of the 4 VE's only a electrical relay on my daily Berlina at 95000kms.

Hope for holdens sake the VF isn't a lemon(Ve had a/c dramas, balancer wobbling and various other issues), i'd hate for my new car to have dramas

Car going to a different dealer on the 31st. CAS still unable to provide a solution.
My gut feel is the controller for the HVAC or one of the sensors is faulty. On 23 yesterday, the air was so hot, i had to turn it off.

Anyone notice if the gap between dash and the front doors is different between the passenger and drivers side? I can fit my little finger in the gap on the drivers side but it's only about 1-2mm on the passenger side, almost like the entire dash is slightly too far to the left.

Speechless, a part that would be plentiful & on a car that is literally the last hurrah of Australian manufacturing to leave a buyer in that situation is ridiculous, for any manufacturer really

Mate I picked mine up this morning, cars V, and dash is dead centre, about 4mm either side.

But sadly I have small issues with mine.

    Condensation in the headlights

Detailed left tape on the car

The front headlights have the clear metallic over sprayed on them, can see and feel. Opon further inspection the whole front of the cars body work is rough, car simply hadn't been clay blocked, I got mine out and did a small section and it came up good. I never really checked it at the dealer as it was passing down hard.

In the calais there are blue led lights just above the internal door handle, drivers side doesn't work.

Other than that I love the car, the HUD is awesome, from all the navigation, radio and car info it gives ya to even the g metre.

Well I just looked on the Holden website and in the gallery of the interior pictures it appears that all the VF's are built that way as the gaps are clearly different on each of the model photos.

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

I am well and truly over this car.
Wakelings could not determine why the mirrors wont heat and why the seat wont heat upon remote start. "No errors on the computer" is all they could tell me.
Then they tried to tell me they only work under 10 degrees C. Well, my car was covered in ice 3 days last week and neither function worked.
As for the HVAC, "no errors on the computer" was all they could tell me. 7,100 klms on the clock now. My leg has been burnt twice from the console being so hot as the rear temperature could not be controlled.
Off to NSW Fair Trading now. This is not $55K well spent. My enthusiasm for the brand has diminished now to such an extent, I doubt any more Holdens will be in my garage. (I have had 5 in the last 10 or so years) It has gone beyond the faults, the complete lack of customer service and support has taken my experience too far.

Did they look for warm air flap actuating rod fault?

This was how my Caprice V's hot console/hot rear air vents problem was described.

Still sounds like a variation of my problem.

Have your dealer consult with Patterson Cheney, Vermont, Victoria.

    Cheers, Glenn

So that's all they can tell you "no computer faults". Sounds extremely lazy. The faults are clearly there and they need to chase them up regardless that "computer says no".
Imagine if it was a $100K GTS? As you've mentioned, it's not just that there is a fault, most people can forgive that, it's how the company responds. Holden needs to learn from customer service found in companies like Apple etc.
