Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 2

Leaves me with some thinking to do for next years car purchase... Not sure i want to fork out 100k for a GTS just yet, so might opt for an FPV this time around. Then go the GTS in 3 or 4 years... Decisions, decisions.

Very impressed with the review on the handling of the GTS though. Looks like it's going to be a great bit of kit. Might have to smash the OT at work and save an extra 30-40k for the GTS!! Wife will be hating me! I can just hear her now... I'll probably have to sleep in the thing haha

although its straight-line thrust is yet to be independently verified, a 0-100km/h claim of 4.4sec feels entirely plausible.

The Walkinshaw-owned Holden performance offshoot today confirmed 0-100km/h acceleration figures for the GTS. It claims a 4.4sec sprint for both the six-speed manual and automatic versions of 430kW 740Nm GTS.

HSV has also pencilled in a 12.3sec standing quarter mile time for the GTS.

    4.4sec from 430kw.

    It could be quicker.

The report was close to the numbers reported in may.
Great numbers for a off the shelf aussie car

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

    All pretty positive, I reckon.
The writers have confirmed what members of the HSVOC were told a couple of months ago...ie, that it's not just "a great lump of an engine", it's the engineering that, from the start, HSV have put into this project, that make the vehicle "complete".
    Cheers, Pickles.
