Will be posting some pics of my GTS being built at HSV tonight.
Very exciting, have pics of the big diff and interior as well.
It's great that there are HSV staff with such passion and a desire to go over and above the usual customer service.

Do you have a build number on yours? I've been told my build number and that delivery is now due Sept 23. I'm very sceptical, even though I ordered in April, build no is between 350 - 400. Can't believe they will have 400 delivered in a week?

    Really enjoying your pics too

Run the IQ through your HDMI INPUT on your laptop, record the screen if necessary using camtasia or similar, same with audio - save as .MP4 and upload to youtube.

    Supercharged HSV? - Part 3

I have been told by the dealer that the car will be with them on the 17th. I don't have a build number at the moment. Hopefully that date is accurate. I don't know how long HSV take to get them out the door complete.

I was contacted by the dealer letting me know their first GTS will be at showroom on the 18 or 19th.

Don't fret about build number. They don't build in order or even use all the numbers up. Don't ask why because I don't know. I only found out with a previous car that that was the case. My dealer is telling me HSV are releasing the GTSs on the 16th of September and he doesn't expect to see mine until the 23rd. Delivery thereafter.

I understand fine but for the GTS vs E63 comparo it seemed a huge waste of all that technology to simply run them down a drag strip and talk about the exhaust notes and suspension settings. I just figured if you're going to punt to cars down a drag strip why not let it be the top dogs of FPV and HSV. The GT R-spec got a 4.5 0-100 in a manual I just wanted to see a good old race.

I'm in the market for a new car and I don't have $250k but would like to buy a HSV, FPV or maybe a used M3. So forgive me for wanting to see a comparo of two cars in the same market and similar priced in a review.

Some pics of the plain car with LSA in it. About to go to the "stripping" area.

Very much being stripped down ready for HSV specific bits.
Looks like HSV must also install the stereo speakers.

This exhaust is the Holden temporary exhaust that is fitted to the cars. It will be pulled of and the bimodal installed.

    Nice big differential.

The water to air heat exchanger for the supercharger intercooler.

Very clear that there is a lot more to making these cars than throwing on a front and rear bar and some bigger brakes.

Can't wait to see what it looks like with the larger spoiler on it. Will be the first time we have seen the GTS with the larger spoiler other than the white one in the HSVs release videos.

Great pics once again. HSV have every reason to be proud of what they do. I reckon the green wheels suit yours better!

Thumbs up Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 3

Very good images.....shows a lot of HSV's engineering work, as a consequence of which, the GTS did very well against the E63.
    Cheers, Pickles.

Funny how that time has never been replicated by any other mag and in fact is proving to be not much faster than the standard GT, on top of that in PCOTY it got smashed around the track by the Chrysler 300SRT a 2 + tonne car none the less.......

The R-spec was a pretender, they threw some go fast bits on it and said "she'll be right". In reality it did very little to help the impossible which is the antiquated chassis!

I have an FPV GS, great straight line grunt but not much else. The GTS deserves every bit of that comparison with the AMG and did an almighty job of it, hand it to a car 2.5X the price around the track is something to be very proud of, something the r-spec could merely dream of.

I wonder whether the problem with track performance could be the lack of intercooler? Temps increase, ECU pulls timing? Power drops off?
