His car isn't worth anywhere near 8000. My neighbour just sold his 2007 BF2 xr6 in that gunmetal grey colour done 105k for $10k

Both cars are worth basically nothing. The VT, from the descriptions given, sounds vastly better. I say keep it - why swap a known good car for what is probably a piece of junk when both are worthless anyway?

And that's exactly why they are essentially worthless. Throw in some bad mods that suggest the car's been flogged and almost a quarter of a million kms and he'd be lucky to get a couple of thousand dollars I reckon.

I agree - brother in law got a BF fairmont with half the kays for 7k from a dealer! Also the dodgy half arsed mods mentioned. Definitely sounds like he's trying to offload a lemon. On the other hand, the Falcon aircons always seem to be a shitload better than the Holden ones!

Up for sw0pzzz!!!!11!! = I've driven it hard, not maintained it properly, done too many dodgy back yard mods and fixes, and no-one will pay cash for it, so I'll hope someone swaps me something functional and doesn't look too closely at my junk cause they're handing over other old stuff rather than sweet sweet folding stuff.

.....ok sometimes people swap genuine decent cars too, but the above seems to be common these days, and given the description of the BF I'd put money on it being a shitter
