Thanks Mark. I meant the FPV being slow around a circuit after getting hot, but that's good news about the potential.

I guess they could mean the tarmac is full of burnt out rubber residue, oily surface, and not in the best of condition to achieve maximum traction off the mark for this torque monsters. Their have been reviews for example getting the E63 RWD to do 0-100 in 3.8 sec and 11.9 qtr mile times which is a fair whack from what this test could achieve.

    Cheers, Pickles.
The reason I think they wanted to compare the HSV GTS to the E63 is because I think the E63 is the fastest 4 door sedan in the world now in AWD form for 2014 and is regarded as the best all round luxury performance car period. Thus they wanted to show how effective the GTS against all the while been $150,000 cheaper.

Less than ideal conditions bla bla bla. The AMG still managed an excellent mph. So far gts hasn't in any of the tests (best of 115mph).

I have always said wait until private cars go down the quarter. The mags couldn't get under a 13 for the sc gt (non rspec), yet everyone one I know (including mine) did mid to low 12's at 114mph.

A couple more pics. The GTS is about to go into the brake installation section. Front bar to come as they are running low on these from what I hear.
Hopefully won't be delaying the build.
    Looking closer to completion!
Nice black one ahead and behind mine.
