Their have been reviews for example getting the E63 RWD to do 0-100 in 3.8 sec and 11.9 qtr mile times which is a fair whack from what this test could achieve.

Only from the AWD version of the car, not the RWD we see in Australia.

I'm sure for road use a full size plate would be fine. Maybe take it off for the track for max ventilation

Now jk that is not going to happen, those steelies cannot clear the rear brakes let alone the front. So Simon is just going to have to get the 20s powder coated after delivery, I'm sure someone can dig out the paint colour code!

It is, it's truly fantastic. It gives that low-volume specialist feeling to the whole thing.
I wonder whether HSV would consider making it an official part of the buying experience that people can option. Potential issues I see would be work load for the person doing it and also potential customer whining and arguments with dealership when they can see their car made but not delivered.

For us uneducated people and non Melbournites.......what floor size is the HSV factory and how many cars on the floor being worked on at any given time ?

I really appreciate getting the shots of the car as it progresses. Seeing other cars and other shots too is very good. Clearly the GTS isn't just "bolt a few go faster bits on and hope for the best", there is serious engineering that has gone on long before the first customer car rolls out.

Instead of build updates, maybe an album delivered with the car, with signatures of those who built it. Like a coffee table book that can be slid into the manual folder. Surely HSV have a PR team or the like.

I think this would return some sort of individuality back into their cars.
