Samsung s4,have had no issue at all, streams music fine, all the voice, contacts, work a treat.
Hi everyone. As I await delivery of my Redline ute, I have been researching the Siri eyes free program that is in the VF range. I understand that they are compatible with Apple iPhones and NOT Android. I don't particularly want to waste a grand on an new phone and if the latest mobile phone sales data is anything to go buy, 75% of the population are using Android. This being the case, have any of our forum viewers had any issues with Android phones in the new VF range? I have read the write ups about them possibly even being easier to use than an iPhone, however, I trust those who have used rather than those who have just written if you know what I mean....
PS, I know many may wonder why I would want to be using my phone rather than listening to the purr of the 8 cylinder, and that may be a good question, but I spend a lot of time in the car with work and as we all know, anything that makes work easier makes life easier. Cheers.

Yea my S4 works no worries
Pretty sure any phone with Bluetooth 4.0 should work ok.

S4 here too...all good![]()
Thanks. I thought that might be the case. Worst scenario was having a poor quality bluetooth connection like my Android has with my VE Berlina. Apparently everyone I spoke to when on the phone complained of hearing themselves back.
Sounds like no such issues for the Redline![]()
Bluetooth is fine on my HTC. I thinkl SIRI eyes free means you can ask SIRI things, like wheres the closest servo, or how do I murder a man and it displays it back to you. On android the cars in built voice system makes the phone do things, but cant say accesssearch or
now.
Not sure what you mean, It's the other way around. Android works better on the My link system than Apple. Siri had some incompatibility issues not sure if that's been resolved yet.
I have a Galaxy Note 2 and everything works fine on it, Tried on my old mans VF Calais V and on my mums VF SV6 before I decided to order a Redline for myself.
I've reviewed a couple of Cruzes and a Caprice V for my blog and never had an issue with Mylink working with my S2.
Bluetooth works fine for me with my Galaxy S3.
If you want to use Siri Eyes-Free, you will need an iPhone. It's iOS only and isn't even an option for any other operating system.
Thanks everyone for your feedback. My Android works perfectly with the Mylink as many suggested it would. I especially like the females voice that reads my wifes texts back to me.![]()
