I had a play with an SSV redline for a weekend and the stereo shat all over the VE. A few tweaks and it was pretty good for a stock system.
What is the quality of the new Bose stereo? Are people happy with them?
My VE stereo is pretty poor I reckon and I think the Bose rollout is a great idea provided its done right.
Also how does it compare to most aftermarket systems, would you recommend it as a major step forward over the old without a need to upgrade?
Would be great to get some feedback from a few punters.

Yup love it, I've got 6g worth of good gear in my other commodore, and the boss system in the calais V is very good for a standard system, the only thing that I may change is but some small 8in subs in the back because I feel we you listen to it all your bass is at the front, just feels a little unbalanced, and no adjusting the balance doesn't help. But Yup love it.
Have not heard the Bose systems but the standard VF SS V system is a massive steip up from the VE system also. I was pleasantly surprised.
Could the VF bose system be a straight swap into a VE?
The biggest issue with standard car stereo systems is generally the speakers. Replace the cheapie standard ones with some decent ones and the difference will be huge.
are there any people out there that drive their cars without putting the stereo on like me?
(sounds like a topic for a new thread)
