Now after 4 days and 450 kms, all I can really say that this is a unbelievably good piece of kit. Fast, tick, handles, tick, beautiful to drive, tick, full of technology, tick.

From drivers seat it has an incredible feeling of being powerful. The power is extremely linear, even small throttle percentage gets you motoring. Thank goodness for the HUD and having speedo right in your face., car feels like it is going a lot slower than it is. 100km feels like walking pace (you know when you been driving on a highway and slow for town).

Ride is firm, more so than any E63 I have driven, it is not rough though and I quite like the ultra solid feel. The difference in ride between settings is noticeable and so is increase in exhaust note.

Everything so far seems to work beautifully, air con (lot quieter than VE) & sound system are very good.

Reaction by others has been very positive.

I suppose bottom line is, that there is no other 4 door in the world I would prefer over this, job well done Holden & HSV.

As an aside, I came across a new E63 AMG in traffic in Brisbane yesterday, dark grey. Looked good, if a little understated, but geez did it sound good!
I don't know how AMG get it to sound so good with two turbos chopping up the sound waves in the exhaust but they have done a great job.

injekted in Mitchell for the the paint protection and tint ( he does a lot of the car yards but about half the price dealing direct)

I will get bagged, but I like the GT, what colour did you choose, sorry for the off topic, but it's a quiet night
ok cool, i have dealt with Vince before through a work colleague who knows him well. Do you know what paint protection you're getting? I'm thinking of having mine done in melbourne when i pick the car up..

I opted for white with black stripes, manual and leather. Was very tempted by the Mars Red which is an orange/red, but stuck with my gut choice!

What's going on with FPV, and for how long will the GT continue to be made?...All the R Spec cars are sold?
    Cheers, Pickles.
Yeah will do mate. A lot of talk on fordforums that next year is it for FPV/GT... perhaps an XR8 only, but who really knows? I was planning on waiting it out till next year to see, but would have been spewing if they didn't make them anymore and i missed out on a new one. I'll probably be a little dissappointed if they do make them until 2016, but i suppose the FG GT will possibly be the last of the no nonsense FPV muscle cars. It's a little bland, and a little raw but i think i like that... It'll be a big difference from the caprice, so i hope i don't miss my luxuries too much!!

A few R-Specs for sale last time i checked, but they must be close to being sold now...

    Apologies for off topic lads!

GTS LSA - i'm excited for ya for wednesday mate! Enjoy the beast! I'll keep an eye out for you, and when i do have the GT, i'll keep clear haha

Nice cars those GTs best sounding stock motor by far I reckon. My only issues with those is the chassis and small rear tyres. Got a mate whos thinking of upgrading his BA GT for one.

If he's serious, tell him to get in soon. FPV are doing great deals at the moment. Canberra dealer was hopeless, i ended up buying in Melbourne and saved heaps.

Yes, I thought there would at least be some description on YouTube or image of the output before and after.

I have seen it posted on the Ford forum, I think the point is that it only made 350rwkw after the tune.
