    Let's face it, whose going to pay $90K+ for an out-of-warranty W427 when you can buy a brand new GTS with 3 year warranty for the same money? The dealers will be discounting them a lot lower than even $82,990 to shift them.

    This comment isn't to bag W427s it's more about introducing some market reality as to how much they are really worth at the moment. Personally, if I was a dealer taking on a W427 as a trade-in, I'd struggle to offer much more than $50K because selling it for more than $70K will be tough, I'd low ball the trade-in simply becasue I wouldn't actually want the thing clogging up my forecourt.

    W427s are fabulous cars but not for $83K+ at the moment. One day W427s will be a collector's items and go up in price but it will be off a much lower base than where they are now.

    The white one on carsales in Perth was at $94,990 and now it is back up to $96,990. Inflation ???

    I know what a member has been given for his W427 as a trade in on a new GTS and it is a LONG way off $97k..

    Oh and #112 has been removed from carsales so presumed sold. That was at $95,990 driveaway

    I'd work on the basis of whatever a second hand VF GTS is worth, knock off an easy 20%+ and that's what you'd pay for a W427. Trade-in would be lower again. In about 5 years time when second hand 2013 VF GTSs are $40K or so, a W427 is probably only going to be selling for $30K tops (good buying then most likely) I think a few dealers are going to feel a bit burnt with second hand W427s, they will be a pariah car as for as trade-ins are concerned.

    So W427 112 sold? Would be curious about the price. I'd reckon they got if for quite a bit lower than the advertised price, the dealer would want it hanging around for long.
