Aye certain noise violations and such have to be attained. There are special "sound" labs which manufacturers send cars to to tune down exhaust noise so we might get a different exhaust than you guys do down under. There are a few videos of this on youtube, you can even seen the multivide pagani hyuara story has the exhaust tuned at a certain shop as this. As far as I'm concerned all cars made for the US market have to comply with california emissions standards. There used to be 2 types of cars in the US, the california models and the "federal" models for the rest of the states, but they abolished all that due to manufacturing costs. Hell even all nissan gtrs are manufactured to California specs now lol.
