There are options for those settings in the menu on the big screen. I can't recall exactly where it is but it's among the settings that allow you to set how the central locking behaves.

Might have to play around with the settings then. Mine only beeps if I push the button on the key fob twice.

there are some vehicle settings that can only be changed with the engine running and I think this is one of them.

start the car and then press the config menu on mylink and there should be vehicle personalisation options available.

I can certainly change this setting without the engine running. I think it is called remote locking feedback or something similar.

If this doesn't work then it could be telling you that a door or bonnet is open...? Otherwise one of these sensors could be faulty - it should display which door etc is open in the DIC above the steering wheel when starting the engine or about to drive off.

Solved my problem
light in hard cover wasn't turning off - I adjusted the switch and all good.
