    Weird clutch issue LS1/T56

    Hey all,

Had a weird thing happen tonight, was leaving the lights and gave it some curry through a few gears, slowing down I lost all feel through the clutch pedal and complete loss of friction point. Every gear is slipping really bad. If I select a gear, sometimes there will be a one-two second delay, and I can hear the clutch engage loudly and then I have (some) forward drive.

I had the clutch replaced around 6 months ago, and I haven't had any other issues with it. I'm supposed to be driving Syd-Adl on Tuesday, so naturally I'm freaking out.

Can anyone help diagnose this? I'll be taking it to a mechanic first thing tomorrow

If it's not getting any drive I'm thinking pressure plate failure of some sort, maybe someone forgot to use loctite?

With a slave failure he would have drive if the vehicle is started in gear. I read it as partial drive and slippage in gear. Sounds a lot like a pressure plate failure to me. The box will have to come out to look further into it.

Thanks for your tips everyone. When I got in the car next morning, there was a stain under the clutch pedal. Turns out the master cylinder failed. Was replaced today and clutch pedal readjusted
