What have you used it on?

Exactly as the heading, this stuff has been around for a while now, seen
quite a few threads where people have shown pics of how good it looks when it goes on
but how does it hold up over time, driving etc?
What have you used it on?

I used it on my G6ET grills to cover the silver. Went on about 3-4 weeks ago and haven't had any issues at all with it. Car gets driven nearly every day and parked in the sun a lot.
It was also very easy to use.
I'd like to see how it would hold up on my DuSpeed OTRCAI.
Sorry for posting pics of a Ford grille![]()
I did front and rear badges on the clubby and drive it daily - its probably been on there about 10 months now and still looks good. Ill try to remember to get a pic tomorrow

...still have bits of Plastidip on my rims despite concerted efforts to remove it. The thicker the coat, the easier it is to remove.

It should last well over a few years. The biggest problem most have is not applying enough coats which leads to difficulty removing it (as mentioned). Check out this youtube channel for a heap of videos with hints, tips, etc.

I've had it on the wheels of my daily driven VZ for a year now - only issues were having to apply another layer on the edges after a tyre change, but naturally it has resisted being pressure washed at least once a fortnight if not weekly + 5-800km a week.
Sounds like it lasts much better than I expected it would
the way they advertise that you can remove it so easy I was expecting it might peel off on it's own.
oh it'll peel off quite easily if you start scratching or pulling at it, but for just about anything else it's quite tough. Kind of like dried PVA glue. Agree in regards to the thicker it's applied, the easier it comes off too.
does anyone know how it will go with filling up scratches on rims?
my rims have been gutter rashed pretty bad and i dont want to pay a heap to fix em so thought maybe i could use this as a temporary fix.
i acutally have a spare set of rims with my semi slicks on them so i might try it on them first.
eventually i will have the rims professionally fixed up but ill do that later on.
also does anyone know of a local victorian supplier or do you just need to get it off ebay??
Is this the stuff they sell at super cheap in spray cans. For spraying the front end panels etc. Does this stuff have overspray. How does that side of it work. Little plastic dots of overspray wouldn't be to good.
Its fine as long as you tape off and watch the breeze
It comes off really easily with a little clay and lube though
I did the badges on my Cross 8, then decided to do the alloy panel under the main air intake, I'd done close to 20k (including a trip to Uluru) with it on before I sold it, there was only a few small pin prick holes in the coating on the alloy panel, and no marks on the badge. I even used high pressure sprayers to get rid of the bugs after the trip, didn't seem to affect it at all.
Before
After 20k+
