Re: VE Batteries - Just got a new one

Just read through the thread.. Thanks for all the info guys.

So what is the theory now regarding higher capacity batteries? Do you guys manually fully charge them or does the car just sort itself out?

My battery goes flat pretty quick if you use the electronics without the car running. So very annoying.

Currently looking at either Varta e44 lead acid or Varta e39 agm

    Any thoughts?

Re: VE Batteries - Just got a new one

I've got two amps driving my sound system and it can run for around an hour (not at high volume, in accessories mode due to the way it's wired up) before my HSV voltmeter drops below 12v. I believe 11v is about the minimum which will start the car so whilst I've never run mine much under 12v I reckon I could probably play music for a couple of hours with my Yellow Top D34 before the car wouldn't start.
