WOW I'm really sorry to hear about your dealing with Lindsay from Gold Coast hsv spares. The guy really is a peace of shit. I so hope you get your money back in full or what you paid for. I was lucky to pay by credit card and got them onto it and got my money back. It's funny once I got my money back he was all of a sudden keen to talk to me. I've since found out he has done this scam to a lot of people through his eBay and gumtree accounts. People need to be aware of this guy as there seems to be no stopping him and he's still selling in both places and people are still getting burnt!!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LINDSAY EDWARDS FROM GOLD COAST HSV SPARES IN BURLEIGH HEADS, YOU WILL GET BURNT!

Hey guys,

Got ripped off by this guy too, wish I read this thread before I made the purchase. Expected to receive 4 HSV brakes and only got the front two. Made a claim to the bank as I paid by credit card. the items are still up for sale on Gumtree. This is the second time that I have bought something of Gumtree and the second time that I have been ripped off.

Apparently, this guy started ripping people off back in Dubbo, people calling his mum chasing the items he sold, this guy is a total piece of s@*t. What he probably can't understand is that all of this will catch up with him and he will pay for it one way or another.

Word of warning, Lindsay Edwards has changed the game to hsv parts goldcoast now. And still scamming people, the next person on the list just got done for $660 for a diff centre he never got, he has also put the police onto him. Don't know how he can live with himself or how he can keep getting away with it.

Pardon my ignorance in all this but is there a a physical address for this shady prick? Im thinking there must be so why hasnt someone gone to said address and hurt this POS? maybe im missing something here. But if some one owes me 1 cent through deception im getting it back.

I guess thats where we may differ. If it was my hard earned this guy wouldn't be ripping people and then making subtle changes to his shoddy business name in order to continue his trend of re offending. Just seems like hes taking the piss with some many being burned.

We were also caught out by this idiot. Bought an ls3 conversion off him direct (it was advertised on ebay) Did not need the gearbox, so negotiated what I thought at the time was a good deal. Paid via credit card (luckily it turned out) He seemed easy to deal with on the phone.
He mentioned the motor would be pulled the following week & be on its way to us.
2 weeks went by & nothing
Ebay add was not pulled either, which seemed odd to me at the time. (not now though)
Chased him up for a couple of days (he does not answer the phone very often I gather, no doubt due to people chasing him) & finally got hold of him after about 10 calls. He made Some excuses about being away - said motor would be going shortly
About a week later i get an email with a con note number in it.
Checking the tracking the motor gets down to Vic, to the depot, & then gets redirected. Start panicking & ringing tnt who say motor has been redirected to Cairns! ring lindsay who claims to be confused. shipping agent says motor was redirected by seller. ring lindsay again - claims to know nothing about it. I try to put hold on motor all the way up the east coast. Had paid for insurance with shipping - shipping agent has no record of insurance being taken out. Lindsay says insurance has been taken out. So who do i believe. I can see I'm in trouble now. Great. Seller basically not helpful & does not seem overly concerned. Shipping agent not really that helpful either, but more useful than seller! try to put "Hold at depot" on motor at cairns depot. motor then gets picked up by someone at depot (says wonderful things about TNT I must say) then try & get security footage from tnt depot to involve police in what seems to be hijack of my item.
That evening I get phone call from guy who has motor. turns out he also bought a motor conversion at the same time i did - a L78 has been chasing lindsay for weeks about it, & when he sent me the tracking number, he also sent the same number to this other guy - when he saw it going to Vic, he managed to somehow get it redirected to him. Says he's been chasing lindsay for weeks. When he did get hold of him, he claimed to be in America (doubt it - they don't like letting in people with police records, if what as been said previously on this thread is correct) He says he's off to his bank to get his credit card payment reversed & also send me an email address with all the pickup details for my motor on it.
After some stuffing around, managed to get motor back! lucky! cost everyone (bar lindsay) a huge amount of time & stress (& money - motor did about 10,000k on trucks up & down the east coast)

So basically he placated this other guy by telling him he'd shipped my motor. I was told by tnt who had picked up the motor in the cairns depot - lindsay denied knowing him, even though he was his customer!

When I get it, the motor package not surprisingly is incomplete (missing headers, cats, oxy sensors, flex plate, engine mounts, carbon canister & fuel pump & accelerator pedal wiring - all items that were negotiated as part of the package price)

So after about 20 calls & emails, I get an email promise from lindsay to send down the missing items, but of course, nothing happens. Now I have to fork out at least $500 buying the missing parts which he didn't send (assume he had already sold) would have been far easier to deal with one of my regular suppliers who are honest.

checked with Vic roads to confirm that car / motor was not stolen - luckily enough all seems well on that front

I spoke to our contracted corp lawer & basically its not worth our while sending him a letter of demand for the amount of the missing items - & he'd just ignore it. So the recomended "solution" was to post up on forums etc & give him $10k worth of negative rep - as long as I tell the truth about what happened, he can't do anything about it (ie can't claim deformation of character)

bottom line - dodgy as. dishonest. don't deal with even if he was the last holden parts seller in the universe.

(one hopes he will get what he deserves soon - a 300lb "bubba" cell mate sounds like a good starting point)
