    Ve sill panel

Can anyone confirm are the sill panels bolt on or is there some other fixings I should know about. Any heads up would be appreciated. Sustained a bit of damage and looking to replace this panel. Cheers Craig.

What panels are you referring to exactly?

The sill panels mate as title suggests. You know, below the doors.

    Re: Ve sill panel

The actual sill panel I believe is welded in and won't be an easy/cheap job to replace. If however you're just talking about the SS plastic panels which run along under the door they're just screwed on - easy to replace.

That's it wonky, the plastic panel or side skirt on the wife's sv6. Thanks for the heads up, I could see they were mostly bolted on but wasn't sure if there's any hard to get to or hidden fixings.

    Re: Ve sill panel

The exterior painted sill covers are mostly held on by seven of one clip, nine of another, and two or three of another (body shape dependent), with a small number of screws on each end. A number of the clips will likely break when you remove the old one.
We sell clips by the hundred each week to panel shops.

Thanks davo, great summary. Can you buy these panels painted from the factory as a spare part. I hate panel shops, don't even wanna go there.

I'm 99% certain they don't come painted. Maybe try a wrecker or even eBay to try to get one already in the right colour.
