    so..........

Anyone done the Harrop Stage 2 kit yet, any feedback.... checked the Harrop thread & not much to go on

Booked it in for next week, I figure 530KW 1000 Torques is not bad number, but I am not after a Dyno Queen, or drag car.... looking for drive ability and Linear Torque curve for every day & my track days.... and yes I know I don't need more power

Doing 1 Min 11. 2 Secs at Wakefield stock as a rock on street tyres and still learning the car (very fat ) the car that is!!....

Mine has recently had the over-drive balancers, injectors, intake and a full exhaust done. Just went in today to get a bigger cam...
Will need bigger injector again from what PowerTorque tell me. Made upwards of 560rwhp. Hoping to hit the magic 600rwhp. Will keep you posted.
After saying I wouldn't modify the GTS I've weakened - some of you knew I would! I am just a sucker for a nice cam, exhaust and 'more than enough' power.
These things are begging to have their potential liberated.

    Nice

I am the same, was going to leave it stock, but couldn't help myself, but figured The Harrop stage 2 was best bang for buck and didn't want to go the Cam route again..... have to admit the stock exhaust sound is too "soft" though..

post up some video when you have finished it

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

You can improve on the Harrop stage 2 by using the stage 3 lower pulley if you want so 8.66 inch instead of 8.25 with the upper 2.55. You start to run out of injector though unless you up the fuel pump voltage which they do with the stage 3 and you really should use a cam with that to help with the flow to keep the temps down but you can get away with the standard one for now for a laugh. With that pully combo the torque comes on faster down low and the blower whine is louder plus the cost of that is no different as your just getting same parts just alternatives

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

The supercharger whine is to die for - love it.
It's devastatingly fast and surprisingly it still gets the power down a lot better than any other RWD high-powered car I've ever owned.
The exhaust is just an off the shelf Hurricane system, including headers. There is a little drone, some might not like it but I can live with it.
Will try to get some video up once I get the car back (tomorrow).
    Cam is moderately large.
Shame HSV couldn't give the exhaust a bit more attitude like AMG did with the C63.

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

Looks like I have a couple of weeks wait now, as 1 part is unavailable....

Agree with the exhaust, apparently it sounds good at the track, but I cant tell with all the deadening & a helmet on

I didn't really want to spend the extra bucks on a full exhaust, wonder if there is a simple way of getting rid of the blockage in the stock one

Making an easy 625hp at the wheels now with the new cam. I'm told there was more there for the taking but the tune is safe.
Only issue I have is that the Hurricane exhaust now drones very badly. It was acceptable prior to the cam but now just not.
I cannot recommend this system to anyone who values their ears if you have a cam change. I've had plenty of V8s now and this is the worst I've experienced.
Getting some J pipes fitted next week to try to improve the situation, if that doesn't work then I'll have to look at other options.

Awesome power mate, must sound insane now with exhaust and cam, shame about the drone! Does KPM have an exhaust for the GTS yet? They usually offer no drone guarantee, but not sure on the GTS?

Mate I have similar mods and power with my LSA with a DF 1 7/8 3inch and do not have the same problems. I have a manual though. Its pretty loud though when you get up it definitely anti social but when cruising its ok.

Its in the shop now getting more mods. Mast heads, more boost 9.17 lower 2.55 upper and bigger fuel system and 1500cc injectors and E85. It should be close on 700rwhp after this but well have to see. Should be a good laugh before I blow it up and then it gets rebuilt bigger lol. Probably ready end of next week or maybe into the following week id say.
