    Aircond Comp not working

Had a mate of mine come over today as he's had trouble with his aircon in a VY LS1 goes through all the motions of the AC coming on but the Comp clutch not engaging!
    Thus no aircon!!
He went to a few places who told him without looking too deep was more than likely out of gas & it would need a full recharge etc etc.
I bunged the guages on & was showing a decent static charge, started checking the electrics & all the signs showing AC was all go!! After another ten mins tops of testing found the loom to the Comp. had melted due to the the huge eng. pipes! Was just a matter of cutting the harness back & renewing the wiring, wrapped them all up & was good to go, started it up sure enough the aircon was operating & working great.
Moral to the story if you have pipes fitted, check all your wiring periodically for fatigue or damage etc.

Even with the standard headers the AC wiring was not happy. I have covered with some insulating sleeve.

    Nice work Mick.

I got three regases from various "air conditioning experts" till I found someone who knew what they were doing.
I think the old $90-160 recharge is a nice little money spinner for shops
