    275 Tyres on lowered VE

I am thinking of purchasing a set of second hand HSV staggered rims. Just want to be sure that I will get no tyre scrubbing on the rear with the wider rims and 275 tyres? There seems to be a fair bit of room at the moment with the stockies. The car is lowered with Kings sssl, so the tyre is slightly tucked into the guard. Anyone with a lowered car and wider tyres able to advise?

Thanks mate, will dig your thread out and see how low your car is, will give me a rough idea if mine will be ok.

A 9” wide genuine HSV rim with 275 tyres won’t rub even if you are lowered, the offset on the HSV rim is very conservative.

I’ve got 20x8.5 with 255 on the front and 20x10 with 295 on the rear of my Ute lowered with SSSL’s and never suffer any scrubbing.

I have the lips rolled but I’ve also fitted this same combo on a lowered VE Calais and Clubsport without rolling the lips and didn’t have any issues.

I’ve also fitted the rims from my HSV on the Ute and Calais to see how they looked and they never came close to rubbing.

Well I got the wheels, and they fit nice and look great. Only issue is that they suffered a couple of knocks in transit. Does anyone know what the colour is that VE R8 Wheels are painted in? From internet research I have come up with a couple of colours, Hi ho Silver and Billet silver, just not sure which one if either? Also impossible to find paint code for either
