Corvette....Yep,....I'd LOVE one, but that article is pure "HYPE"....making 2+2 equaling 22, and it ain't gonna happen, IMHO of course.
Pickles.
Oops Now we are getting the corvette.

interesting how different interpretations of the same interview mean that we are "DEFINATLY" getting these cars
slow news day
I'm not a hoon, I'm just competitive

Now they have pictures an article of the supposed Commodore replacement. Only problem is picture has same side profile as VE & VF. Obviously a very slow news day
That article is the biggest load of conjecture I have ever read. GM has made no statement in relation to wether the new gen camaro to be revealed this year will be available in RHD. If I had to put money on camaro or corvette coming here I would say camaro will be the one landing here. They will simply keep selling Commodores until closure and then switch to importing the camaro. Really though, I think everyone knows that something V8 will land here. They are the halo cars used to draw people into dealerships even if they don't generate the most sales for that model, they can generate sales of other models.
The Camaro that we are likely to get is the next model and is going to be built on the Alpha platform. It would be nice to see some clarification from Holden soon, I'll be putting a deposit down on a Camaro SS auto convertible if they do. Ford Oz announced the Mustang coming here earlier in 2014 and it won't turn up until later this year.
Cheers, Matthew
I spent most of my money on unreliable cars and less reliable women, the rest I wasted.

Or we might get this...
http://www.motoring.com.au/news/2014...77kw-cts-48337
477kW/855Nm 6.2-litre supercharged V8
0-60mph96km/h in 3.7 seconds
322km/h top speed
As previously reported, ex-Infiniti boss de Nysschen is keen to develop the next generation of Cadillac vehicles for lucrative right-hand drive markets such as Australia and Japan, but notes that's "a long-term issue and by long-term I mean at least five years".
You can see how American GM views the world vs Tin pot Holden who had their versions in RH & LH drive from the scratch.
GM is simply arrogant or just silly not to plan for both with so many models .... The Only reason I have a Volt because Opel engineers were involved for the sister model Ampera for Europe and the UK.
Left to the Americans in Detroit it would be like there current line up ..... Even if a RHD WAS POSSIBLE the assembly plant DOES NOT have the equipment to install the Dash module for the other side of the production line. How daft is that !
Where is Australia again? and I heard they drive on the Right .... - that explains everything.
Meanwhile in Japan they build LH - RH for local use and us on the majority of models from day 1.
Heres an idea. We could just build the Camaros for the right hand drive market in Australia. Looking around for the sarcasm button
