They did have loads of problems when the LS1 first came out under new car warranty
I would expect most of the bugs would have been sorted out a long time ago while the car was under warranty.
They got a bad name because they had so many new car warranty issues, Holden replaced hundreds of engines & fixed plenty of problems with them.
People complained because they had to take their new cars back for so many major things
but this is long past history now & most of them have been well & truly sorted.
When you think about it 317,000 kms on a 2000 (15 year old car) works out at only 21,000 kms per year,
I think the average for a Commodore or Falcon is around that.
Hey if the car checks out okay & you think it is worth around the asking price & that is the money you want to spend
I would not be put off with the odometer reading all that much but I think you should be prepared to spend some money
somewhere down the line fixing a few little things which always pop up on any older car.
