    VE N/A Auto 1/4 Times

Hi all, what are people running in their VE Auto N/A? What is the fastest, not including strokers?

Recently my auto VE SSV at Heathcote ran 11.4@122 (left lane), and 11.4@119 (right lane).
Full weight, cam, converter + bolt ons, untouched heads. I was quite impressed as it's a heavy car. Makes 303rwkw.

How does this compare to other VE autos? Cheers.

    Sounds great numbers mate.

What size stall, cam, diff gears etc?

Might be a good idea for people to put their timeslips up in the "Timeslips" section of the garage as well

238/242 cam, 4500 stall, 3.45 gears. Great as a daily too.

I heard that they have still been getting quite a crowd at Heathcote lately in these cold winter months
but the traction was not all that good a couple of weeks ago when a mate of mine was out there last.

Traction is quite good at Heathcote I thought, I was running 1.67-1.7 60ft all day.
    Calder is back next month.

How long ago were you last there?
My mate was there about 3 weeks ago & a mate of my son was there the same Sunday
& both of them said that it was a bit off that week.

Just a few days ago. I suppose the right tyre always helps.

For a 4500 stall, that's not a super impressive 60 footer. The diff gears won't be ideal but it may have been slipping slightly.
In comparison, I also run a 4500 converter but with 3.91's and pull 1.5x 60's. My car would be as heavy, if not heavier than the average VE, it's got a massive stereo in it.

But great time none the less, will be a flat 11 to 11.2 in it if you can shave a bit more off the 60.
What tyres and pressures were you running?

Yes I agree, not a great 60ft but I feel that's all it can do.
The old VZ I owned used to run 1.5's, but this car wont do it. Perhaps the converter is too tight.
However in saying that, the VZ never did 1.5 at Heathcote. Keen to try Calder.

Tracks have nothing to do with it ... Bottom line is ye old 4 speed auto VT/VU/VY/VZ 5.7L H/C combo with 3.9's and the RIGHT tuner pushing 300 rwkw will pull 10.s all day every day..
Been there / done that .......an me new VF doesn't come close

Thats life I guess..days of pulling 1.39's 60 ft's are over I reckon... no matter how many software tickle up the 6SP auto gets

Yes cannot beat the 4-speed auto.
So I started this thread to see what other ve n/a autos are running.
Mark since you popped by, what did you get that black VE ute down to? You'd be up there in one of the fastest?

Unfortunately nowhere near current times...if I recall correctly the Maloo ran a best of 11.7 at 121mph with a 5K tC and HUGE Cam installed in brand new vehicle....the 6spd auto spitting the dummy full length of track ..
