Can someone explain how this new fan dangle exhaust works? The part about it plumbing to the firewall or something? If it's so good I wonder why aftermarket exhausts have never done it. Or if you could use the idea on something custom?

Re: VF Series II IS HERE

    From Wheels article..

Holden benchmarked cars that included the fire breathing AMG V8 models, and developed an under-bonnet sound enhancer for the SS-V that sends noise into the cabin, too. Make no mistake: this will be genuine noise, not an artificial soundtrack as per the BMW M3, for instance. Holden says that drivers also get a flurry of noise when they stomp the loud pedal, so that the fun’s not all for those getting blown away on the pavement.

Will it be like my 69 Cooper S where the 45mm Weber sat behind the speedo and you could hear the butterfly's open?

My old man had a silver VH SL/X 253 auto as a company car and I fell in love. Years later I had an ex copper VH that I rebuilt the 308 in with a T400 and it was awesome!

I'm guessing it'll be like the difference between the wiggly pipe in VT and going the two-hole mod or changing to the MCAI. Once the intake side was opened up, the experience of nailing the throttle was much improved!

I remember the interiors in those VB & VC SLE's used to have a unique almost solvent like scent to them.

The one significant difference is the AMG’s don’t need an under-bonnet sound enhancer with a pipe plumbed to the firewall or Baillie exhaust tips with a hole in the top to let sound resonate through the boot and back through the floor pan to achieve their in-cabin sound.

In saying that I’m very happy with Holden’s effort and will line up for one, though I think that exhaust will be binned for something a bit more substantial.
