No I thought the base model was coming back towards end of year using the same motor as the Holden redline just at 340kW

2016 HSV Gen-F2 range pricing (before on-road costs):

    ClubSport R8 – $TBC (due early 2016)
    Maloo R8 – $TBC (due early 2016)

ClubSport R8 LSA (manual) – $80,990 (new variant)
ClubSport R8 LSA (auto) – $83,490 (new variant)
ClubSport R8 Tourer LSA (auto only) – $85,990 (new variant)

Maloo R8 LSA (manual) – $76,990 (new variant)
Maloo R8 LSA (auto) – $79,490 (new variant)

    Senator Signature (LSA, auto & manual) – $92,990 (+$9000)

    Grange (auto only) – $86,990 (+$1000)

    GTS (manual) – $95,990 (+$1500)
    GTS (auto) – $98,490 (+$1500)

I haven't read that. In fact I read one article that specifically mentioned the base clubby and Maloo have been dropped. Why would they wait. It's not like there would be delays releasing a 340kw ls3. It's been around for a while now after all.

EDI as an option is a joke and so is the price I think. almost $84k for the Clubsport R8 LSA without any options + ORC. You will be looking at around $87k end total which is crap. And if you want to add the options of hyperflow spoiler, black roof, sunroof, EDI and Auto box who knows what the final price will come to $90k???

I was tossing up between the new Redline and the Clubsport R8 LSA but I think you are not getting bang for buck with the Clubsport R8 LSA anymore. Really kinda disappointed in the price rise and price difference which has now blown out to $25k, the redline didn't go up a lot with the new LS3.
That's because there's not much difference between the previous 6.0L's and the LS3. Price to buy the motor will be similar and nothing needs to change to put it in. The LSA is more expensive to buy and then you have all the additional coolers, larger diff and stronger gearboxes.
If you price up a conversion, you're looking at 15-17k for the motors changed alone. That doesn't include any drive train hardware so there's naturally going to be a price increase over the LS3 powered series 1's.

The base models have been discontinued but there are still non LSA variants coming.
I believe the "wait" is more due to the excessive numbers of series 1's they've got lying around than any availability issues.

Read in wheels that is holden terms 340kw becomes 326 due to differnt testing methods.

So the 304 VF II is a 317 HSV in real terms
    239/247 goodness............

The MRC on the GenF GTS was excellent. I think it would be insane to ditch something that good unless they want to run it on a track or some other special purpose such as ultra-low ride height etc. Agree with the rest of what you wrote. Who in their right mind would buy a GTS now when an intake and tune would have it at GTS spec power anyway?

This, sorry I think the GTS now looks ungainly. Fussy wheels, tacky add on skirts and wrap around on the rear valance and the strakes in the front bar don't match anything. If the rumoured GTSR looks the same I think i will go elsewhere.

To me series II should be such that series I owners want to upgrade whether they can or not. This lot does nothing for me.

I think the R8 looks better even though I don't like the assymetric spokes the wheels are way better than before. But the poor Senator doesn't get new wheels? At least Rapiers are still available.

Re: VF Series II IS HERE

Yes new R8 wheels look fantastic. Seems some dealer are still wanting high price for 2015 GTS, they reckon they won't have stocks of the new F2 for a while so can still command a high price. I was hopping to maybe get a Jungle Green GTS for a good price, but looks like I have to wait. But thee new R8 looks even better than the 2015 GTS

I wonder what this will impact on the trade in values of the 6.0 litre vehicles ?

Well its MRC, torque vectoring, 6 piston brakes and the unique nose.

The real question is then GTS or Senator? Add the EDI and necessary tune and intake to get back to 430kw and the two are basically price matched.
So then it's a case of 6 piston brakes and torque vectoring versus memory seats, auto dip mirrors on reverse and the lights in the door mirrors.
