White redline auto sedan with 20" alloys, alloy spare, black roof, black fender surrounds, black front grill surrounds, black lip spoiler and floor mats. No mention of the light interior, but it should be black as per the cars shown during the announcement.

I personally didn't like the lighter suede/leather stripes as per the MY15 Calais.

cheaper than $56,190 with those options is pretty good, is the $56,190 inc ORC or is ORC on top of those prices? I will be happy to get a Redline for spot on $60k with all my options. Priced up one of the Series 1 on the Holden site and it came to $63k

change gears faster .. most lilkely
but .. the GM auto is still crap imho (and that is from Trimatic to the latest 6 speed in the VF).

Until they make one that won't continually shift up and down when towing on the freeway ... I sat in mate's VEII SS when towing his race car to PI and it did maybe a thousand up/down shifts travelling at the speed limit on the trip down and that is normal behaviour so state Holden !
and also won't flare up a couple of gears when you accelerate and then back off ...PLUS be in the right gear for the next corner/bend, I won't believe they are any good.

If you drive a cab or be like Avis and rent out cars, then I have no problem with sticking an auto in the taxi or renter coz there are 2 legged animals out there who can only use one whilst driving
... but for a performance road car, my choice is a manual transmission (well until maybe they get a decent auto available)

.... and that is why i won't be buying a GENF-2 Tourer any time.

The auto does also come with the option to use it in sports mode which holds gears longer or if you so wish, the option to change gears manually and it'll hold them all day long if you want.

The auto is definitely not perfect but then again the manual isn't really any better IMO, besides nothing better than that 'D' for Dumb mode when stuck in traffic.

The base models have been discontinued but there are still non LSA variants coming.
I believe the "wait" is more due to the excessive numbers of series 1's they've got lying around than any availability issues.
True and HSV probably don't want people comparing the base Clubbie with a supercharged one directly at launch and seeing the price jump. And as you say there is still a ton of series 1 LS3 HSV's to move. I think when the motoring press started leaking details on the SS getting the LS3, sales of the HSV tanked.

Re: VF Series II IS HERE

If they price the LS3 clubsport at $70k, I think people will spend either $10k less on the Redline or $10k more on the LSA version.

I don't expect to see many of them in the road for some reason.

Re: VF Series II IS HERE

why would you buy a LS3 HSV when you can have a SSV LS3, which would probably have more features than the HSV now that HSV have made a lot of things as options. the price difference between LSA ClubSport and SSV Redline has grown out to $27k. Ouch!

    SSV Redline $63k Drive away

    LS3 R8 $?? Drive Away

    LSA R8 - $90K Drive away

Brand New MY15 GTS M6 for $88k DA (actually, there's a few cheaper, but you get the idea).
