    Re: New toy arriving soon....

Quick update, dealer stuffed around as usual ,hadn't ordered wheels, sports bar etc
They only had 2 months waiting time to get their act together!!!
Anyway, ute is finally at HPF, got the dealership to send me a couple of pics before it went on the truck this morning.
20" wheels on ready for brembo's ,sports bar on and rego plates on.

The front fascia ducts are only there to reduce aerodynamic drag, by around 6% from memory. Nothing to do with brake cooling.

The hood vents only have 3 open vents and 2 dummy closed vents. Apparently if all 5 were open it wouldn't vent properly and end up sucking air in rather than venting hot air out. Put your hand over the vent after a run and you can feel the hot air coming out.

6% reduction. Not bad for a couple of little ducts. Base of windscreens have a higher pressure so trying to vent out of that area is not going to work. So I take it then only the forward ducts are open?

Yep that's right, only the front 3 vents are open, with the rear 2 only being dummies.

Thought I'd start a thread in the correct section with my new ride. Could anyone tell me how I link my old thread "new toy arriving soon" to this one?
Anyway, you may have to like HPF page on FB to view it?

Does your setup run a purge pump to move the stale oil from the turbos?

Yes mate, pump even runs for a bit after stopping engine to continue oil flow through turbos to cool them.

I can't believe how good this is to drive. Totally stock manners to drive around town, it's on vacuum all the time! Unless you push down a bit more on the pedal then you are just pushed harder back in the seat than I've ever felt before. Over 400rwkw on 7.5 psi.
    Cheers greg
