Yes you too.
The brochure appears to mention everything but...typical of Holden skimping on the usual Calais features, did similar in the VE range when both front seats were motor driven though dropped that to driver only!
Hi there
Best wishes to all for 2016.
Just picked up my new Calais-V and I can't find any mention of rain sensing wipers.
I had them in my VE but I've searched the manual and can't see the option to enable.
On the VE there was an "A" on the wiper stalk but not so on the VF.
Perhaps age is getting the better of me so please feel free to call me a silly old bugger if I've overlooked the option in the manual.
Could one of you guys kindly confirm one way or the other if rain sensor wipers are an option.
Cheers

If this is true, what tight arses. It is one of my favourite features. Even daughters 2009 Golf has it.
Reading the brochure rain sensor wipers are a feature on the Calais-V.
Re-reading the owner manual it seems that it's automatically activated and the book suggests turning off wipers when entering automatic car wash.
Seems the wiper stalk on the left of the stearing wheel controls all wiper functions.
The Calais V should have them, I don't believe normal Calais got them...going by the reviews I've read anyway. No idea how to turn them on/off though
Just checked the brochure on the Holden site and they're definitely listed as standard on SSV Redline and Calais V

One click down on wiper stalk activates them on VE Calais V.
I have forgotten they are on and sprayed glass cleaner on windscreen, they scare the crap out of you lol
I have a VF SSV Redline and have found that the auto wipers work when the stalk is in the intermittent position. I have left it in that position and wondered why the wipers start moving when I am washing the car!!

Hi guys. Thank you all for your replies.
All sorted now.
By they way, loving this car. I upgraded from a VE Series 2 Calais-V and the VF (from my initial experience) is a nice step up.
The BiModal.......fantastic !
Cheers
I'm surprised the bi-modal is on the Calais to be honest, was very surprised to hear it - I would have thought Calais and SS buyers to be different types of buyer.
Just checked the stalk in my VE V and it says auto in the once click down position.
We just had a bucket full of rain in Sydney and the sensor wipers work as per previous suggestions.
The Calais-V comes with V6 standard. The V8 is an option ( as with previous models) and from my understanding the BiModel exhaust comes with all V8's...as it should.
And Black346 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Couldn't have said it better myself !
What a fun car to drive. Far superior to my old VE Series 2 Calais-V. I was always disappointed that it never sounded like a V8 should. Not a worry now !
I have both...what type of buyer does that make?Calais and SS buyers to be different types of buyer.![]()
