    Blackvf

Model: MY16 VF SS sedan Series 2 Jan 2016 build
    Colour: Phantom black metallic
    Engine Type: LS3 6.2l V8
    Engine Mods: Stock
    Gearbox: 6spd manual
    Exhaust: Factory bimodal

    Suspension: 4WD atm

Wheels: stock crap looking SS 18's

    Future mods:
    Get car rego'd
    wheel upgrade(undecided atm)
Headers and cats(may keep the factory bimodal yet
    OTR/ Tune
Maybe cam down the track(last 3 all cammed)

Picked up 27/2/16 from geelong and drove back to Adelaide 700km run in(averaged 10L per 100) paid $42990 + onroads so a great deal , My first VF after having 5 Ve's over the years. Nice to drive and surprised at the noise from the bimodal setup. Love the fact it has a 3.7 diff from factory(paid $1250 for the same diff in my ute)

I like the series 2 SS with the series 1 SSV taillights and its mainly black look(SSV and redline have more chrome)

    pic with my ute

first mod, new black side vents, bit to much chrome for me

    Matches the black bonnet vents

Looks good, mate. The guard vents are a nice touch. A nice set of 20s and a dump will set it off!

Definitely. You have to wonder why Holden stick with this ride height. No other manufacturer seems to sell cars that sit in the clouds.

Too right mate the 18" wheels on the VF SS look horrible, the 19" on my VF2 SSV are little better! Mind you the VF2 handles better, steers better & goes very well compared to the VE. They should of had these drive line options years ago!!

I have no doubt the VF2 is a massive improvement in most area's Mick, especially the engine Also think 19's are a good size for the VE-VF platform with correct ride height.

Ive done 800kms and still not registered, waiting on my plates VFSS 16

Bloody hot in Adelaide but done, kings and Monroe GT sports in rear(only)

Will settle a bit yet, found that VE struts won't fit a VF so running std front struts stm with SSSL's, Monroe don't list a vf strut yet. The VF knuckle is alloy and heaps wider than the ve

VF2 is good but all the V8 wheels look terrible to me, even the redline ones. The 20" option ones are the go otherwise after market.

I've put my GMAX Aspire on from my ute, like the look

Very nice, I like the stealthy look. Do we have to change your name to BlackVF ?
I actually like all the stock wheels except the redlines!
Just spent ages changing the lower chrome grille piece to black.
Have you tried the horn? oh dear!
Couldn't see any loom when I had the bumper off. I guess you could just wire it into the other one.

Haven't tried the horn yet or the parking assist. I'm keeping the chrome on front like it

Funny the redline rims in silver as on Chevy SS look alright? http://www.chevrolet.com/ss-sports-s...-your-own.html
