Pedders SportsRyder coilovers for VX GTS?

Hi guys, as the title suggests I'm wondering if he pedders sportsryder coilovers would be good for a VX GTS. I say that because my GTS while only having done 80k needs new suspension. Front strut has collapsed and it's all a bit meh. What I don't want to do is put something in that's worse than the original stuff was. Would this coilover set be a step forward against what the GTS left the factory with?

Is there maybe something else in the same ball park price wise you'd recommend?

Having tried most of the suspension available fir these cars I have two recommendations.

On a budget - Eibach springs with Koni shocks
    Best - Tein coilovers.

I've found it pretty hard to find information on the Tein stuff, I just keep getting eBay links and such. Anyone know approximate pricing? How much should I expect to pay for the Eibach and Koni combination also?

Cost me $900 fitted for Koni Yellows in the front. The original struts are modified to fit them. I already had Lovell springs.
Rear end Konis I did myself, I think they were another $400?

Im in the market for some coilovers also. Did some searching and found 90% negative feedback for the Pedders coilovers. Found nothing but praise for the MCA coilovers:

I was leaning toward the entry level Tein's and a few mates have them and said they wish they went the MCA's for what its worth.(not commodores though) So ill probably be going the Blue series MCAs myself. Food for thought.

Pedders SportsRyder coilovers for VX GTS?

I have Bilstein B8 shocks, King springs and white line swaybars on my VY SS and even though my car is a sh!tload lower now, the ride is actually smoother/softer than the original FE2 suspension that it came with from the factory.

Sorry I don't have coil overs, but I also didn't see the point as I don't circuit race and I'd never do suspension adjustments either

Re: Pedders SportsRyder coilovers for VX GTS?

Suspension can be a personal thing, for example a lot of people love King Springs but I wont use them again. I've had a few suspension setups in my 04 Monaro to try and achieve what I wanted. Most recent setup saw me go from custom valved Bilstein shocks / Eibach springs to Tein Coilovers back to custom valved Bilstein shocks / Eibach springs. I tried coilovers as everyone was raving about the adjustability but despite this the Tein coilovers didn't give me what I wanted and after very little use the rears had to be sent back to be repaired under warranty so after that I sold them off and returned to the previous combo as mentioned which has been in place for many years now.

The best riding combo Ive ever has was in my old VXII SS, it was quite low (again with Custom Bilstein Shocks and Eibach springs) but I had the rear Bilsteins custom valved to my specifications which was a little softer than FE2 and the ride was awesome but the handling wasn't as good as the developed package I put into the Monaro.

Re: Pedders SportsRyder coilovers for VX GTS?

    Hi UCNUNV,

I also have a VX GTS stock suspension in mine is still good though so am leaving it as love the personality and handling capabilities, but was looking around a bit ago as i was contemplating lowering it, rang Eibach as i had them in my VE and loved them but unfortunately they stopped making springs for our cars 18 months ago so i havent been able to source a set. Was looking at Koni Yellows and Lovells as this is what i hear is an awesome setup. When mine does finally flog out that is what i will be going, am looking at purchasing it and in the coming year as i can see it becoming harder to get.

    Cheers
