It's not that the wagon gets 10kw less than the sedan, it's that auto variants have AFM activated and have 10kw less...and the wagons only come in auto.
Hi all, hope you had a great Xmas.
Have a VF (15) SS wagon, now don't get me started on what possessed GMH to "bless" me with 10kw less than a sedan, but my question is can a tune alone get good gains? (as it did on the Ls1).
Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has done this and where to get it done in Perth .
Cheers

That's interesting, 99% sure my car (11/15) doesn't have afm
All V8 autos from MY11 to MY15 have AFM (excluding LS3 variants).
Your car has afm 100%.
Well I did say 99%,lol. Lack of AFM badge on the back threw me, that and not mentioned anywhere in the manual. I was wondering how they got the fuel consumption so low tho.
Anyway, the original question was can improvements be had with a tune only?
Improvements can be had with tune only but they respond very well to breathing mods. I'd expect ~30rwkw out of just a tune, but if you plan on doing any mods do them first as the tune will need to suit.
I'm in a similar boat to Wonkyy with mine, have an MY14 SS ute and ended up with about 260rwkw on a tight/new engine after OTR, full exhaust and a tune.
My VF Redline ute(auto L77 with AFM) got about 250rwkw with tune, OTR and cat-back only. food for thought. Didnt get a before figure, wouldve been good to know. The AFM can be disabled when tuned i believe.
239/247 goodness............
Thanks all
