Castle Hill Performance did all the work for me.

In terms of warranty I would say drivetrain related I wouldn't have a chance at the dealership. My free servicing hasn't been affected. The actual mechanic who did my last service at the Holden dealership was quite impressed by my LSA blower retrofit.

Power compared to the Walkinshaw would be similar. They are selling a 2300 blower compared to a 1900 LSA. I don't like how Walkinshaw advertise flywheel power. There are too many variables. You will pay a premium for Walkinshaw package compared to most performance shops. I don't know a great deal about Walkinshaw driveline warranty but I would be checking the fine print.

No I haven't. It wouldn't pass noise and emissions as is. Quite a few get them tuned on E85 to pass emissions.

Would need a OEM Euro 5 cats at a minimum at oem location, and a good tuner, to get close, the later model cars VF, its near impossible to pass the emission test, 2017 HSV Holden models will be euro6 , so kiss cams and SC upgrades away, because they will never pass any thing.

Just after some information or ideas.
With Holden coming to a close I was looking at selling my VX Clubby and getting a new car, something with a bit a grunt (400-450 rwkws) but not over the top.
I have been thinking about a VF2 Clubsport R8 LSA with the W507 package (need an auto) or maybe just a VF2 LS3 (SSV or Calais V) with an after market supercharger package.

I took a VF2 Clubsport R8 for a drive (standard LSA s/c) and it was okay but I would like to hear a lot more noise from the s/c when you put your foot down. I hardly heard any s/c noise from that car I drove.
I was wondering with the W507 package does it make any more noise? I looked at their youtube video and it sounded good but then I looked at other private videos and you cant hear the s/c.
Does anyone own one of these that can comment?
My other option is get a VF2 LS3 SSV redline and Calais V and supercharge that, but I am unsure of what package would meet my needs and still keep warranty! and the bimodal exhaust
I would like to get some ideas or thoughts on this.
I understand the Clubsport would be a lot better car but I don't want to spend that much and not tick all the boxes.

Another power option for a new VFII LS3 is Twin Turbo... Much better option IMO...

Warranty why even worry about it..... Any FI bits you add will have warranty for the parts themselves, as for the OEM warranty, that would go straight out the window anyway regardless...

Unless you buy the overpriced Walkinsaw product which you pay extra, as part of the price, for there "limited Warranty" anyway...

(i) The 36 month anniversary of the date that the Vehicle is first registered with the applicable government motor vehicle authority (“Registration Date”); and/or

So unless you have the Walkinshaw S/C fitted on the same day that the Brand new car is first registered, the 36 months starts ticking down straight away, so useless...



All Bi-modal exhausts are a compromise in the sound department, On / Off they never sound any good... With a Well Setup System, you don't need BI-modal rubbish Full Stop....

Good luck with wanting "alot more noise form the S/C" your'll be totally over it, after the first week and it'll drive you nuts...

Positives of a TT setup to think about... drives & sound like a stock car just cruising around... nice and stealthy (even with bonnet open)... no unwanted attention... and heaps of power on tap when required...

So...... With the Walkinshaw S/C, if you fit it, to a car that is greater than 3 years old (36 months since first registration)..... No Warranty..........

I bet you, the price for the product is the same if fitted to a brand new car, or a 3 year old + car too...

On the same dyno 15rwkw less than my HTV1900 with slipping belt (only 6psi at top end) running on Caltex 98 when it was tuned for Ultimate. Speaking to a very highly regarded interstate tuner he said they were very difficult to tune due to uneven length runners. After lots of mucking around trying different things and a new tuner it's finally now making good power (380rwkw) but it's been a long and expensive road.

Also seems funny to me that a few tuners get higher rwkw figures from something they have tuned to something another tuner has tuned.
Then when their work goes on another dyno it often can't make close to the same figures.

My car has been on all 3 dynos his has so I believe all his figures.

I still believe the 1900's are better suited to anything 5.7-6.2L. Just look at the times Gen F GTS's are running

But the WP2300/Harrop Stealth Force/Edelbrock E Force (they're all the same) are notoriously difficult to tune as I believe the rear runners are a different length the the rest (as mentioned) and the runners go under the body so everything gets heatsoaked off the engine. Far from an ideal design and everyone I know that has changed from one to a Maggie or FDFI Harrop has always picked up power.

I have another question on the HSV VF2 LSA models.

Does the GTS and CLubsport LSA version have the same super chargers and drive lines? (As in differential and tailshaft etc), Its difficult to find any tech specs on the drive lines of the Clubsport LSA.

I'm sure it's the same supercharger, possibly detuned but that's an easy fix. However, I don't think (from what I remember reading ages ago) that it has the same advanced diff, torque vectoring or MRC. I could be wrong though (first time ever!! )

Exactly the same motor, top to bottom. Only physical difference is the bi modal intake which doesn't do a great deal.
They will generally run very similar numbers on the dyno, apparently there are some differences in the tune to limit them, but as said, a tune will sort that out.

Is it the same tail shaft assembly from gearbox to differential? In the brochure of the GTS its states heavy Duty Tailshaft, but Clubsport says nothing about the subject.

All same same to my knowledge. Probably just marketing hype to make the GTS more 'exclusive'
