My 2013 VE SSV Z series.

Bought this in March this year simply because the car was dead straight and in pristine condition. Not a scratch or swirl on it with the previous owner being even more pedantic than me. Unfortunately by June an elderly chap not thinking straight parked a ride on lawn mower over a rock driveway and sprayed the car with stones. Long story short im topping up insurance to get the entire car repainted with a slight custom twist to the standard black base coat.

Extra clear will be sprayed on so the car can be wet sanded back for a dead flat finish.

This is how it currently sits with the base coat going on next week.

More pics to follow as well as a small write up on the wet sanding, correction and after out gassing, the final applications of Angelwax protection.

After clear coats. In most conditions the car looks Black as I wanted.

Once the light hits the custom metallics come out. Copper red.

It's just as well you've got pants on in that bottom photo, the paint looks like it should come up fantastic when it's all finished .

Haha yes, not my pants but thank god Nathan had some on. I'll be going into Pristine Panel Restorations to help with the sanding and final buff out this week. Looking forward to seeing it in the sun.

Wetsanding and reassembly almost complete. Looking smooth and deep. Cant wait to pick it up and take it home to cure a bit longer.http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/59b4f470...9048301072.mp4

Picked the car up today. Looks amazing. Great finish and no paint runs or dust nibs found as yet. Once I do a full detail I will get some decent pictures with the DSLR but for now, here are a couple more.

Still a bit of wax sweating but you get the picture. In the sun set the metallics appear golden, but in normal direct sun they are Red and Copper
