    Federal 595 RS-RR

Looking at some Federal 595 RS-RR for the back of my Calais. My only concern is comments on other forums that these are quite a wide tyre and that the
275 is more like a 295 from other manufacturers. Anyone here run them and care to comment? Looking at 275 35 R19 same size as my current Falkens and
the price from St George tyres seems very good.

I don't know about the RS-RR but I have the 595 EVO on the Senator - 285/30/20 is about the same as 275 on the Potenza's or Kumho's.

Grip on mine are fantastic in the dry, very ho-hum in light drizzle, horrible in heavy rain. Yes they are cheap, but I would pony up the extra 4-500 for a set of Kumho's any day of the week.

    Re: Federal 595 RS-RR

Finally got around to grabbing a pair of the 595 RS-RR and had them fitted yesterday. I cannot express how impressed I am with them. Everything I read about them is spot on ie super grippy in the wet and dry and should cost a lot more. Was a pretty wet day here yesterday, but still these have transformed my car. They grip like shit to a blanket, wish I had purchased them years ago even pre blower. They are also very quiet. Only thing I will monitor now is how long they last, but considering my FK453 lasted 3k I am not too worried
about that. Can't wait for a dry day

Edit: And yes they run a bit wider than a normal 275 (about an extra inch or so).

Certainly are Ed. I expected to have some trade off's going with a semi slick, but they are quiet and comfortable as well.

lol, seriously Mick, prior to getting these on I was sort of regretting putting the blower on, the car was just too much of a hand full. Yeah it sounded cool and was fun to drive,
but I was driving everywhere with a fkcing velvet slipper. Now I can actually drive it with some confidence.

They look good Rod Exactly what the doctor ordered.
I know a few guys running drag radials on their street driven cars and they all are happy with them.
