South Australia Police issued a statement........

"Two arrested over stolen car pursuit in northern suburbs

    15 Dec 2017 11:17pm

A man and a teenage girl have been arrested after a stolen car was followed by the police helicopter through Adelaide's northern suburbs earlier tonight.

Just after 6.30pm on Friday 15 December a police patrol saw a stolen 2017 black Holden GTSR W1 driving erratically travelling south on Main North Road at Gepps Cross.

The brand new V8 sports car was allegedly stolen from an Adelaide CBD business last Monday night 11 December.

Police patrols didn't pursue the stolen vehicle but just before 7pm, PolAir (the police helicopter) spotted the same car driving north on Hackney Road at Hackney.

For the next 30 minutes the stolen car was followed covertly by PolAir through numerous suburbs including Nailsworth, Prospect, Dudley Park, Wingfield, then Mawson Lakes, until it reached Paralowie at 7.20pm, where a female passenger got out of the car.

A police patrol quickly responded to the area and arrested a 17-year-old girl for Illegal use.

The male driver of the stolen car however escaped from patrols by crashing the vehicle through a residential fence in Arras Court.

PolAir continued to track the stolen car back to Mawson Lakes on Port Wakefield Road to Montague Road and a short time later to Day Court a dead end street at Ingle Farm.

Police patrols converged on the area and arrested the driver, a 38-year-man from Craigmore.

He's been charged with numerous driving offences including engaging in a police pursuit driving in a manner dangerous to the public and illegal use. Further police enquiries are being currently being conducted with more charges expected.

There were no injuries in the incident. Very minor damage was caused to one police vehicle and the stolen V8 was damaged when the suspect drove the car through a colorbond fence.

The arrested man has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.

The 17-year-old girl from the northern suburbs charged with illegal use, has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court at a later date."

Maybe it was just one of those special "dad & daughter" bonding things.....?

Glad the HSV is not badly damaged & nobody else got hurt.

Meh, I am sure some of them would get driven harder than that by some new owners.

This clown might have just done a few wheelies & shit his pants, reports said he lost it a couple of times

can't have been much of a driver.

The press cars would get much more than this Bozo could dish out,
quite often even tested on race tracks by proper race drivers,

I am sure it could take a couple of days of this driving.

The car looks okay considering this statement from the police.

"The male driver of the stolen car however escaped from patrols by crashing the vehicle through a residential fence in Arras Court."
