A shame for such a unique car on the US market. Like the Pontiac G8 they will probably hold up in value in the years ahead.
GM weren't going to heavily market the VF because it would hurt their corporate average fuel economy (CAFE). More realistically the market for large sedans has almost collapsed in the US, even mid size sedans apart from the Camry and Accord have been smashed. The SUV conquers all. The Chrysler 300 is built on a geriatric M-B E class platform with seemingly little chance of a major new model anytime soon, Chevrolet look set to scrap the Impala, Ford have scrapped the redesign of the Fusion.
