    Holden Acadia?

I note that this SUV is to be released shortly. I think it's originally manufactured as a GMC in the States, but that's about all I know.
Does anyone have any info or opinions?

    Martin

only seen pics... courtesy of the Holden marketing people
(helps to be a fleet manager on their email list) but no specs yet.

looks HUGE (compared to say a Colorado) but of course
it remains to be seen in the flesh ...

having said that... I think it is ugly
(not a fan of 'tank' styling , I much prefer the Expedia )

and with a Holden badge... in camo

Would it have broken the bank to re-do the front grille so it fits the Holden badge without the weird looking inset that makes the badge look like a tie clip.

Yeah the grille does look a bit like a tie clip insert.

I am sure that plenty of new owners will re fit GMC badges on them.

I also reckon General Motors would find they would sell more of them with GMC badges in Australia also.

    Re: Holden Acadia?

General specs have been released through most motoring media outlets yesterday
Even the base model is coming fully loaded with equipment and saftey gear. Its a car I am interested in for the family pending price. I think price will be key to it having any chance given how competitive the 7 seat SUV segment is.

an ABSOLUTELY spot example of what is wrong with Holden in this country....
why not indeed, a decent new grille? that setup just looks so... tacky, an afterthought!

Saw this, looks as though it's 2 cylinders short of an engine.

    next question is....
where does this thing leave the Trailblazer in the Holden model range?

I don't think the Arcadia is a true 4WD, think more Kluger, CX9 etc.

more like the Kia Sorento me thinks...
available in both FWD and AWD depending on the chosen model level
but all come with 3.6l V6 and 9 speed auto though

Many friends of ours in the Blue camp have been saying this for years, Ford did change theirs though, whether for the better I don't know.
