pretty cheap to buy a bathurst win for 250k. 100k suspended until dec 2021. I guess mr Penske needs to save up for it.
docking them 300 team points is also a joke. should've been 1000 so they get pushed back in the pit allocations.
Unfortunately for Scotty Mac this will always have the stigma of his team buying him the win.

Yeah, they wouldn't want to upset the great Mr Penske would they?

I certainly don't agree with the tactics, but have a closer read of the stewards decision which is quite lengthy.

    https://www.supercars.com/news/champ...on-djrtp-case/

The 350K fine and 300 point deduction is the maximum under current rules that CAMS could apply.

Based on the wording of the decision, CAMS wanted to apply the maximum penalties and they did.

Re: Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 10-13 October 2019 *spoiler alert*

The Cams decision is... Weak as Piss And Twice A Yellow IMO......

Scott was clearly advantaged by Fabian being instructed to go slow, and Scott being instructed to push on... Period...

Scott's Advantaged Win should of been Revoked from the record IMO... It'll always now be a tarnished win for ever more.

V8 Supercars should of given Scott a drive thru penalty, at the same time Fabain was given the drive thru penalty, for directly advantaging Scott IMO.

This would of totally avoided Scott's tarnished victory, and making it extremely hard for Cams to revoke the Win after all the post race celebrations / trophies being hand out / and Win photos having been already taken.

    Too hard basket...

So now V8 Supercars is trying to sweep the whole ordeal under the carpet with this press release post the Cams decision below... Nothing to see here... move on....Case Closed...

What... Nobody is allowed to question the decisions made, and the delivered outcomes of the whole ordeal V8 Supercars???...

    Total Subjective Rubbish...

" (Supercars responded to the CAMS verdict with a statement declaring the matter is “now closed”.

“Supercars respects the independent judicial process and supports the decision made by CAMS as the FIA’s representative in Australia,” read the statement.

“We note the feedback from the Stewards on aligning more closely with the International Sporting Code and will ask the Commission to review this alignment prior to the finalisation of the 2020 Rule Book.

Supercars stands vehemently behind its drivers and teams on matters such as this.

“There is no place for bullying, trolling or any other form of cowardice in our sport. Any such instances will be dealt with to the full extent of the law.

“This includes, but is not limited to, the blacklisting of sites, networks, applications and individuals who participate in and propagate such behaviour.

As far as Supercars is concerned, the matter is now closed, and we look forward to racing next weekend on the Gold Coast.” ) "

So its Completely 100% OK... for V8 Supercars to "Stand Vehemently Behind" and Allow "teams" to Clearly Cheat...... and still allow them to keep their victory and still win......

Totally Pathetic Outcome for the sport IMO...

V8 Supercars attitude is absolutely unacceptable, off course the fans are upset & have every right to vent on any platform they please!!
They will certainly lose the interest/support of the V8 fan when they let crap like this just slide!

I have not said anything so far about this ...
I have been watching as a motorsport competitor, CAMS member with a competition licence
    AND a licenced CAMS official.

My personal view.. based on my reading of and understanding of the CAMS NCRs (National Competition rules)
FIA Racing and Conduct rules and Supercar and the event regs.. is that DJRPenske Team Racing Australia
should have been disqualified. That is .. the team AND both of the cars.

And I say that irrespective of the drivethru penalty given to car #12

If anyone really wants to get into it.. start by having a read

    https://www.supercars.com/championsh...d-regulations/
especially the Bathurst 1000 Supp regs*

    https://www.cams.com.au/regulations/manual/race

    https://www.fia.com/regulations
    and
especially this reg on .. specifically about 'manipulating the outcome of motorsport competitions'
    https://www.fia.com/regulation/category/1023

Having said all that... this is, from a competitors viewpoint (me), simply unacceptable.
“We note the feedback from the Stewards on aligning more closely with the International Sporting Code and will ask the Commission to review this alignment prior to the finalisation of the 2020 Rule Book."

the rule is already there.... it was (and I have to say allegedly for legal reasons) broken on purpose on team instructions for cars 17 and 12.
And on the face of it (apart from Whincup and McLaughlin) that contravention disadvantaged ALL other place getters in the race.

    * it should be noted that ANY entry into ANY motorsport event conducted under FIA, CAMS and Supercar regs here HAS to sign a form that
they will obey ALL rules and regulations (same as I have to for any Sprint, Supersprint etc event I enter) plus ... I should point this out -
If I break any of those, as explained at the drivers briefing, the stewards are enabled and have the power to chuck me out/disqualify me
