    VZ Commodore Deadlock

Hi I have a VZ Commodore that is Deadlocked. I have followed instuctions I found on here and have managed to turn the key and the button has gone up inside. I still cannot open the door. Could it be stuck shut? It has been sitting for a very long time.
    Thank you

Very hard to give a helpful answer on that without being there.
Even could be try & feel if it was in front of me.

Hey I can only give a personal suggestion & I will not accept any responsibility for any problems you may have,
if you do this I advise that you take great care not to break anything.

I would make sure the outside door handle is pushed in all the way & then lock it again with the key
then unlock it all the way with the key.
When they have been deadlocked you have to turn the key round more than just the normal unlock position,
it is not a comfortable thing to turn them as far as required, they can be a very hard tight turn
but you also do not want to break anything so be very careful.

    Good luck with it.

Thank you. I have managed to turn the key all the way around. It seems I can now turn the key anytime. It's just that I cannot open the door. I need to get into it to remove some items before I organise to get the scrap people to come take it away.
It's probably stuck shut. I might need a crow bar. I'm not very strong. Thank you for your reply.

If it is only going to scrap I would just break the window to save time messing around.

I'd take Ed's advice or engage a professional if you don't want any damage done to the door.
