I don't have lots of cash as i don't work the wife doe's but i am sure you know what i mean there ..
That job there is absolutely no benefit doing it on a hoist in fact it would be just as quick doing it without one

So it seems that the battery is pretty much ready to die ,after 2 days of it in the ute it nearly didn't start and it is colder this morning so my guess is it will be flat .
I also got another quote fixed price $150 better than the 1st one and they do after pay.

Better find out what is causing the battery to go flat,

perhaps even disconnect it when the car is not being used in the meantime?

The new one in our car today started fine just over 2 c at the airport ,the Ute nope ,so i put the other battery back in the Ute the wrong one i will replace it next-week it is like new you can leave it for a couple of weeks and it spins over fine .
But if for any reason our car has any issues i will have to go and chase that to see whats what .
    Happy for now .
off i go back to replacing belts and such on the Ute i can do those bits ..

    Re: Electrical issue.

So without starting a new thread i will put it with this one .
So now i have a little issue with the Battery light coming on also ABS fault the radio turns off the dash stops working ,all this happens at around 4k rpm the car has only done 650 k in 6 months battery is new ,the charge light on the battery never shows yellow .
I am thinking alternator it's 12 months alt howls its brains out after the car sits for a day or so.
I spun it up in the drive way this arvo and i had the battery voltage screen up pretty sure i saw 19.5 volts mmm not handy somewhere around 4500 rpm .
I have had this problem with draining the battery ever since i have owned it ,just it was used every day until 6 months ago .
I found a relay connected under the dash with 3 black wires attached that go into the BCM (some years back)the relay was hot as hell figured that was the problem nobody could tell me what the relay was for so i gave up ,may have to revisit that now ,car runs fine it's only if you stand on it .
Car has an after market alarm as well little black box on LHF inner guard thought the relay might have something to do with that and again nobody could help ,has factory alarm also .
The other alarm i turned off as i did have lots of issues with it going off at the drop a hat or as soon a bug farted great at 2 am or 4am of in the arvo outside ,anyway i will check a few thing tommorow and see what i can come up with .

Starter motor is still working has only played up once last weekend .
