    VZ idicators ISSUE

Hi all, went to go for a drive before and when i unlocked the VZ SS, the left indicator on the taillights stayed on. Also the indicator on the side of the car stayed on and the front indicator also. I disconnected the battery, for a bit, and the indicator lights stayed on continuously. When i tried to use the left indicator it was permanently showing on on the dash. I disconnected the battery again and went away for about an hour. Reconnected it, and they stayed on permanently.

Then i locked the doors it stayed on. Unlocked it and they went off. But when I relocked it they stayed on again. But then they seemed to stayed off. Has anyone had this problem before, it is the first time it has done this. Any thoughts?

Thanks, just found stuff on repairing it myself, by buying a relay off ebay. Unsolder the old one and resolder a new one. Sounds like a plan rather than the expensive cost of a new one.

    Re: VZ idicators ISSUE

    Hi,

Well the issue reappeared. Although this time, its the indicator staying fully on when turning. Sometimes it doesnt do it for a few corners then it stays on fully.

I have just replaced the relay again, with another Zettler one and refitted. However after driving downtown, the indicators started coming on fully again.

So my question now is, since i have replaced the relay in the BCM and its still playing up. Could it possibly be the indicator relay under the dash, or am i looking at a new BCM and keys.

I would change the relay under the dash first because it is an easy & cheap thing to try.

You have not said that you have replaced it before & it might be burnt contacts inside sticking
especially if it does same on both sides.

If it plays up again, try also switching the hazard lights on for a few seconds to see if it resets it.
