So I have a bit of an issue. Not sure what to do here. I have paid for the leather for the seats through Ebay. The guy I have been dealing with seemed really good and was super
helpful. He has great feedback on ebay and seems like a decent bloke without knowing him. My issue is, now that I have decided to pull out of the transaction and politely requested a refund he has gone silent. I paid $1300 and he was decent enough to point out that my seats were not right, but now that I have asked for a refund I have not heard from him for 2 days. Should I give him more time? I tried both his phone numbers, but they are both busy (ie busy all the time). Thoughts? Maybe he is just off work sick or something.

I think he is avoiding you.

I would put in a claim on ebay as he probably has not even started to make them.

Otherwise go to the wreckers like U-Pullit & get another series II seat out of a base model ute. (The bit you need might even be same as on a sedan?)

    https://upullit.com.au/

They have even got a price list on the website.....

Obviously will not matter if it is ripped a little bit when it gets to the checkout.

Thanks Ed. Yes that is an option, and then hope the foam is not rat shit like the seats that were in the ute when I bought it. I actually like the look of the S1 seat to be honest, but that is a problem for another day.

I don't know exactly what parts you need but can you buy new foams & fit to your seat?

I thought about that Ed, but just cannot be bothered at the moment. Maybe down the track when I have more spare time I will chase this up. I even said to Cam that I will definitely be back and will be keeping an eye out for matching seats, just don't want to pursue it right now.

    Fair enough.

I would certainly chase up the seller of the trim on ebay though & see what can be done?

If it was a few hundred bucks I would just write it off, but the fact that I thought he seemed like a decent helpful human really pisses me off. I am sort of hoping that he has just had a few days off and will get back to me soon. If not, I may even drive over to Melbourne and say gday in person

Well my faith is restored. Turns out the leather bloke was just super busy. He refunded my money and said he will look forward to helping out again when I find the right seat or parts.
So glad I gave him more time as he seems like a really good bloke. Now to find a Series 1 SS drivers seat.

Re: Another Holden in the Family :) - Part 2

After peoples thoughts/experiences with sway bars. I am thinking of replacing just the rear sway bar on the ute with a larger one and leaving the stock front one. A bit of research shows that the ute has the same front bar as the SS Sedans but a smaller rear. I am hoping it may alleviate the tail happy ute characteristics, or am I completely wrong about this?
Quite a cheap mod and I know how much the big bars changed my Calais when I put them on, so they are a good mod when done right.

Got the bar yesterday. Anyone know how much work is involved in swapping out the rear? I know the fronts are a big job, with k-frame required to be dropped, but hoping the rear is a simple out and in prospect.
