Any local machine shop should be able to handle a near stock rebuild on a LS motor. Saves the hassle with freight and if anything goes wrong.
Hi all, had my LS1 in my vx clubby shear an oil pump pin a few weeks back. I want to rebuild the original engine and came across Lsx performance parts and their rebuilds on your engine. Anybody had much to do with them? I haven't been able to find much review wise and don't want to be burnt again. Or does anyone have any recommendations for a near stock rebuild?

I would talk to whoever you will have tuning the motor (assuming you will want it tuned) about who they recommend.
You are more likely to get things sorted if there are any issues down the track and there is any warranty issue.

Hi Jase, who in Cairns is currently the go to for LS tunes and build? Last time I was in Cairns it was Leigh Holman! Cheers Simmo
If you're talking about https://www.lsxperformanceparts.com.au/ I always thought they had a good reputation but came across a number of bad reviews not long ago. Will try to remember where I found them.
No unfortunately, can't find them now either but 100% did see them because they surprised me! Maybe they've paid the posters to delete them, maybe they were from an opposition shop or..... ???![]()

I've purchased parts from them before, went well. That was a few years ago, though.
beware for this guy , lsx performance parts scammed me multiply 1000 aud , i ordered a dart block boostline rods timing chain and other parts .
he delivers me after month a cracked block the wrong timing chain and never get these boostline rods i ordered all december 2023. he sends me faked shipping numbers and says the package is lost, but the australian post never get a package from this guy.
i get no refunds for cracked block or missing rods.
looked them up and found this https://www.productreview.com.au/lis...formance-parts
It's a shame that's happened. As above, I purchased TSP parts from them in 2020 and it was a good experience. Not the first supplier to start out good and turn bad though.
Never had issues with US suppliers, and anything minor or potential was sorted out before or adequately. Aus seems to be worlds behind and any issues are ignored or becomes a point of chasing by whatever means available.

To be fair, I would expect that any US company in the position to ship to Australia would be pretty well established. Australia is such a small market, in particular for car parts, I can't help but think that some companies start out well but things end up going pear shaped. Especially when they're competing against those same US companies a lot of the time.
